There are lots of training programs available for pastors ranging from expensive “brick and mortar” seminars to inexpensive online schools. The one thing we can notice one thing about these schools is that each of them tends to be weak in the area of practical application. In fact, in most of these schools practical ministry application is all but missing. That’s because these are academic institutions and academic institutions tend to be knowledge based. Knowledge is good, and absolutely necessary, but being a good pastor requires more than knowledge. Being a good pastor requires certain skills that are simply not taught in conventional schools. That being the case, most pastors learn these skills either by watching other pastors do them, or by doing them the best they can. We admit that there are numerous ways of accomplishing these pastoral tasks but a pastor should have at least a little guidance before being cast out into the “real world” of pastoring.
It’s because of this lack of application training that we have incorporated such training into our program of study. In this fourth module of our training program, the student will learn the following through hands-on experience:
Lesson 1. The Inductive Bible Study
Lesson 2:
- Practical Matters — Personal devotions
- Practical Matters — Preparing for and leading Bible studies
Lesson 3:
- Practical Matters — Sermon preparation and delivery
Lesson 4:
- Practical Matters — Leading worship
- Practical Matters — Finding Prospects
- Practical Matters — Cultivating Prospects
Lesson 5:
- Practical Matters — Presenting the Gospel
- Practical Matters — Decision Counseling
- Practical Matters — Disciple Making
Lesson 6:

Lesson 7:
